For Graduate Applicants
We have graduate openings for Fall 2026: 2 Ph.D. students, 3 Academic Master's students, and 2~3 Engineering Master's students.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who are excited to tackle challenging problems and make meaningful contributions to the field. Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualities:
- Strong academic background: From "double first-class initiative (双一流)" universities with a class rank in the top 20%. Prior research experience is a strong plus.
- Passion and perseverance: Genuine enthusiasm for research: solving hard problems and making meaningful contributions to the field. Success in research requires diligence, creativity, and a willingness to embrace challenges.
- Self-motivated learning: Ability to quickly pick up new research directions, tools, and techniques.
- Solid programming and English skills: These are essential for effective research, academic writing, and collaboration.

Research Internship Opportunities at AIM3
We are offering research internship positions for highly motivated undergraduate students interested in cutting-edge AI research, preferably Sophomore or Junior (Class of 2023 or 2024) students. Join us to work on exciting topics such as:
- Large (Multimodal) Language Models
- Embodied Intelligence
- AI Safety
- Affective & Social Computing
As an AIM3 research intern, you will:
- Receive hands-on mentorship and access to lab resources for challenging and meaningful projects
- Gain opportunities to publish and present top-tier research
- (For outstanding interns) Obtain recommendation letters for top universities worldwide or be given priority consideration for graduate application in AIM3 lab.
We welcome students who are truly passionate about our research directions. Ideal candidates should:
- Be enthusiastic and committed, able to consistently dedicate time each week (on-site or remote)
- Possess solid programming skills and a certain AI-related foundation
- (Preferred) Demonstrate strong academic performance, prior research experience, or excellence in algorithm competitions
